Payeye Transforming Networks is dedicated exclusively to community-based conflict resolution and transformation, working alongside communities to address the root causes, drivers, and consequences of violence and social division.

PTN strengthens the capacity of community leaders, landowners, women, youth, traditional and faith leaders, civil society actors, and other local stakeholders to build constructive dialogue, mediate disputes, restore relationships, and develop peace solutions to conflicts.

Through participatory peacebuilding, mediation, negotiations, reconciliation, restorative practices, early-warning and early-response mechanisms, storytelling and community dialogue, PTN seeks to transform conflict from a source of violence and exclusion into an opportunity for social justice, holistic healing, cooperation, and positive social change.

Our Mission is grounded in African ownership and leadership, recognizing the knowledge, traditions, lived experiences, and communities.

PTN therefore works to strengthen – not replace – local mechanisms for resolving disputes while promoting approaches that uphold human dignity, inclusion, equity, accountability, and respect for African human rights.

Particular attention is given to African local communities affected by or vulnerable to communal violence, political and social tensions, displacement, resource related disputes, identity-based conflict, and other forms of community-level instability.

PTN prioritizes meaningful engagement and participation of women, youth, landowners, marginalized groups, and other actors whose voices are often excluded from formal peace processes.

Ultimately, PTN seeks to contribute to Afrika in which communities possess the knowledge, relationships, institutions, and resources necessary to manage differences peacefully, prevent violence, heal from conflict and collectively build more just cohesive and resilient societies.
